WELCOME TO MIDLETON COLLEGE
Maintaining a tradition
of high academic
achievement.
Midleton College has been in existence as a boarding and day school for over 300 years. In that time the College has established and maintained a tradition of high academic achievement. This high academic achievement is combined with a holistic view of the educational, spiritual and personal development of each pupil.
A school the size of Midleton College, approximately 400 pupils, allows for the careful nurturing of the individual within the College community.
The College was founded by a charitable endowment from Lady Elizabeth Villiers in 1696 and prioritises, in the first instance, children whose families are members of the Church of Ireland. However, the College respects and welcomes applications from those of other faith traditions who are in sympathy with the Church of Ireland ethos. The College community, both pupil and staff, reflects the diversity of faith backgrounds that is the reality of Irish society today.
